MEC 503 @ River Road in Bow

MEC 503 looks great in all kinds of weather, even with those very ominous looking clouds that were lurking to the south of Bow. MEC 503 was tied down here at River Road, and went north once the NA-2 Crew arrived to service the Bow and Concord customers. At least 25 loads were behind 503, mostly going to Ciment Quebec.

It is the second rotation for this GP40-2L(w) in 2020 on "These NH Rails", first appearing for several weeks in May.

If you go back to your pictures from the last Ringling Brothers Circus Train Extra into Manchester, 503 was in that lineup sandwiched between the FP9's along with 608 and 614 that made it as far as Nashua. After that, only 503 was between the F's that went to north Manchester, too bad they arrived well after sunset that night.

Always great to see, five-oh-three !
