PLLX 1012 South of the Weirs Beach Boardwalk

This train departed from Weirs Beach at 1pm and was heading south from Weirs Beach to the end of the run at Lakeport. They were coming up on several boat dealers as they traveled along the western shore of Paugus Bay.

Here was PLLX 1012 after clearing the brand new bridge that carries Route 3. The road bridge was replaced last Spring, and opened for traffic just before Memorial Day Weekend.

PLLX 1012 is a 1000 hp SW1000 switcher, behind the 1012 is former MBTA and Reading Budd RDC-1 #9151, which serves as a very comfortable coach with traditional seating for groups of two or four. The seats flip directions with ease.
