Photo of Train Time at South Station
Train Time at South Station

Passengers head for the Boston and Maine sleeper at South Station. Well, not really... the B&M sleeper Salisbury Beach has attained Private Varnish stature and is resting after an Amtrak trip at South Station in July of 2009. Salisbury Beach was built by Pullman Standard in 1954 as a 6 Roomette, 4 Double Bedroom, 6 Section sleeper. If it visited Boston during its B&M career, Salisbury Beach would have called on North Station across town.
