NEGS 2.0 with Borrowed Pan Am Power in NorthfieldLast Wednesday, 10/21, the NEGS Crew borrowed a Pan Am engine and ran light, north, to Tilton and returned south with two empty tank cars back to Concord. 310 was also being used by Pan Am's Nashua Crews, who left 310 ready for NEGS on Tuesday evening, 10/20. The NA-1 Crew took 310 south from Concord on Thursday morning 10/22.
This is by the Northfield Freight House close to the Northfield / Tilton town line, this area is also known as "Caboose Village". The NEGS Crew stopped for great eats at the legendary landmark, the Tilton House of Pizza before taking care of business. Had they shown up at THOP afterwards, it would have been a very long wait.
This is the second time the NEGS 2.0 Crew has borrowed Pan Am road power, while the NEGS' SW1500 is getting work done in the shops of new owner Vermont Railway in Burlington VT.
