Railroad Bridge Crossing the Kennebec River in Augusta, Maine. As you can tell this use to be a dual rail setup but was made a single track at one time serving the Old Papermill on the other side of the River. The last Train traveled over this Bridge in 2000/2001 serving the still running Mill Called Tree Free Fiber. The area across from here has been re-named Kennebec Locke and Discussion and a Feasible Study about returning Passenger rail Service Via Brunswick, Gardiner, Augusta, Waterville "rail yard possible layover facility" and Bangor is in the works and should be completed some time Next Summer! As a note just across this bridge Pan Am is still serving Goldstar Feeds and Cives Steel via the lower road coming down from the Waterville Rail Yard 3 times a week.
