These are a great series of photos of some very interesting cars. The caboose is pretty cool as well, not to mention the switcher. I'm not sure I want to speculate on the contents of the cars!

Yes. They are actually empty casks right now. They will be loaded with spent nuclear material and taken out west for disposal.
