Upgrade Along The Nashua River

It is 1984 and the first year that the B&M became part of the Mellen empire. He has just purchased the D&H for a mere half million dollars, so D&H power is now in the mix. Here a B&M GP38 followed by a D&H Alco Century and a GP40 haul their consist upgrade out of the Nashua River valley along the river and Patterson Road in Shirley MA.

Photographed by Ron DeFilippo, 1984.
Added to the photo archive by Ron DeFilippo, March 20, 2022.
Railroad: Guilford (B&M).
