Milford-Bennington in Milford

Here is the M-B crew bringing down 8 loaded ballast hoppers for a CSX pick up at the freight house siding. This use to be a through siding like a passing track but the north switch was removed a few years ago. This has been "rare milage" for M-B this year. CSX has been rehabbing this line (Hillsborough Branch) and is getting its ballast from M-B. It worked out where CSX would bring up and leave empty ballast cars for M-B to load and leave for CSX to pick up at the freight house siding which means that M-B travels further south, about a mile to the freight house to drop the loads. Rare because they don't go past Granite State often.

They must be getting clearance from the CSX dispatcher for this move.
