The Pan Am OCS at its penultimate

Almost 4 years ago to the day, on August 19, 2020, the Pan Am OCS with its maximum 4 car consist sits at Hill Yard, Ayer. Ahead of the ex-Wabash "Bluebird" dome car is a recently acquired ex-CSX business car sleeper named for Pan Am exec Syd Culliford. Barely a month ago from the date of this photo, Pan Am owner put the RR up for sale and by 11/30/20, CSX signed the purchase agreement. And CSX got its business car back plus a bunch of C40s it thought it had retired.
