2025 - 470 Club Fall Excurion

Here was the 470 Club's Fall Excursion heading west to Fabyan Station passing under US 302 in Hart's Location, just to the east of Notchland.

All three 470 Club owned historical locomotives pulled six coaches, including two dome cars. This was the same lineup used for last year's run, this difference having the 1741 leading west. Last year the 1741 was sandwiched between 4266 & 4268.

Hard not to recognize the hard work the 470 Club members have done in bringing 2 of these 3 engines back to full operation. The most recent was B&M 1741, built in July 1957, the GP9 wore this exact paint scheme. Under Guilford/Pan Am, it was Springfield Terminal 72.

Pan Am sold their last three former B&M GP9's to the Heber Valley Railroad in Utah. ST 52 (MEC Harvest Green Heritage), ST 77 (B&M Minuteman Heritage) & ST 72. ST 72 was out of service at the time, and never made it to Utah, and wound up in the very capable hands of the 470 Club.
