Abandonment

The Maine Central, south of Sebago Lake, is as abandoned as the house next to the tracks. The State of Maine maintains the tracks for possible future use and is conducting a feasability study for putting commuter trains on the line, which extends from Portland to Fryeburg and into North Conway.
