State Line Tunnel Blues - 2

Conrail 6616, a C32-8, leads an eastbound freight train out of the twin State Line Tunnels at Canaan, NY, in 1986. The track on the right was the westbound lane and was still active in 1986, but
was taken out of service around 1987. Conrail removed the track in 1989. Back then I was working 10-hour days for a construction firm and had very little free time to railfan during the weekdays. I
wish I could haven gotten a pic of the last train -
a rail removal train- passing through the twin bore
on the right, now abandoned.
