Cochecho Railroad Letter S Road Abutment

The right side abutment shown here once carried the Cochecho Railroad (Dover & Winnipiseogee) over the Merrymeeting River in Alton, NH. The line was abandoned past Alton Bay in 1942 and the trestle's last known usage is unknown.
