A very winter like scene at the North Boscawen (Gerrish) Freight House in Boscawen NH. This old freight house is visible alongside Route 3 on the B&M's former Northern Line. Guilford abandoned this section of a once important route that ran from Concord to White River Junction in the early 1990's. Pan Am is planning to give up another 6+ miles from where the tracks end a few miles south of here to Horseshoe Pond in Concord. While the rails are gone, a wonderful recreational trail lives on. This historical railroad artifact received a new roof last year.
