Photo of C630 at West Springfield
C630 at West Springfield

One of Penn Central's ex-PRR Alco Century 630s leads three GEs (U30B/U33B/U30B) out of the yard and past the West Springfield freight house. Nearly hidden in the cloud of diesel smoke at the head of the train are four more Alcos, an RS3 and three switchers, that are on their way to either the shop or the scrapper.
