Photo of Big radiator
Big radiator

3051's engineer's side radiator removed from the locomotive, ready to go to the shop for repairs. The CACV's Canadian built Alco's have single section, water only radiators, thus the need for a separate oil cooling unit. Schenectady built Alco's have sectioned radiators that carry both water and oil and do not have a separate oil cooler.
