Before There Was A Bike Trail

Here PC GP-30 #2230 heads freight bound for Lowell, MA over the former New Haven Old Colony trackage at the Route 2A Great Road crossing in Acton. The was abandoned following the great pre-Conrail "rationalization". The right-of-way is now occupied by the Bruce Freeman bike trail and the modest crossing has been replaced with a fantastic bike trail overpass.
