Note the cast iron head blocks that space the three stub rails as well as the flat slide plates for the moveable rails. There was one of these located on the north end of the EB&L enginehouse in Lincoln, NH. Most 2 way stubs were replaced with point switches but the 3 way stubs were hard to replace as they made efficient use of limited space.
