A last look part 3...

Please read, there was a train on the right track in Augusta, Me just over a week ago. I read in the paper that a Railroad company wants to be using this track by next fall, however as I read on the Augusta Parking District wants to bury these rails to make more parking spaces! They give the reason because the old Dickman Lot is being dug up to do history preserving research. Well I guess these rails are not considered history to them or just "Buried" history. The DOT has gave the Parking District permission to do this, the parking district manager said if the State wants the rails back they would have to give 24hrs notice. The DOT also stated that the City Of Augusta is the only city/town in the State that buries rails to make parking spaces. I wish they wouldn't bury these or any like the ones in my other pictures, take care. Olympus Superzoom 3000 Dlx 35mm
