Collapsed ROW of the WN&P

Pictured is Wheelwright pond in Lee, NH. I'm driving down Rt. 125 looking NE, at the the two islands that were created when a causeway for the Worcester, Nashua and Portland railroad collapsed under the weight of a parked freight train. According to the story enough material was pushed into the pond to form the island pictured. !!!

Photographed by Dave Ricard, August, 2002.
Added to the photo archive by Dave Ricard, September 22, 2003.
