Ex Long Island Alco RS1 465

Alco RS1's are rare. RS1's with steam generators are even more rare. Finding one idling away on the little Otter Valley RR in 1979 was just mind-boggling! Anyone know why it was there and what ever became of it? Proctor, Vt 1979. I would imagine the 'NIMX' is Naporano Iron & Metal, a well known scrapper of railroad equipment. This engine was definitely alive when I saw it!
