BAR Converted chip car at Millinocket yard

This is a former box car converted to chip service. The cleanout door indicates that this car is amoung the first batch of converted cars. These cars were actually unloaded by men shoveling chips out the door. Notice the gouge under the herald where the car has been pushed by a loader.
