Milepost N1, Nashua

Sitting beside Grace Fellowship Church is milepost N1, and in this scene on the other side of the Friday afternoon traffic is the old car house (white building). Like the construction of the new Nashua River crossing, changes are happening to railroad history in Nashua. The two old bridges will be coming down and the old car house is getting a new tenant, the Parthonon Restaurant. From a past newspaper article, the original fascade of the car house is going to be rebuilt. Also visible is this photo is the roof of the old freight station, just above the blue van. The car house and freight station were once part of City Station. The passenger station would have stood directly across Main Street from the church.
