AAPRCO Special at Norton, VT.

Amtrak P40DCs, 823 and 814, slowly start to haul their train of private cars away from the border at Norton, VT. The train is on Canadian National trackage (since transferred to the SLR), and had come from Montreal earlier in the morning.

The American Association of Private Railroad Car Owners has a convention each year in a different part of North America, and the car owners and their guests get to make some rare mileage trips in the process. This train of 23 cars started in Chicago, and was to spend the night of Sept. 2 in North Conway, NH, on the Conway Scenic.
