Coming to a Museum near you

I am hoping someone has additional information on this type of crane.

The Connecticut Eastern RR Museum has been given permission by Ct DoT and the local railroad company, to move this type of crane to the museum for preservation. Until the date of move, I am unable to disclose the actual location.

It was produced by Farrel Foundry and Machine Company in Ansonia Ct around the 1880. I am hoping to get my hands on either a copy of a Railroad or FFMCo blueprint of this crane before we try to move it, it is most likely the 10 ton version, see www.nhrhta.org New Haven RR forum for the spelled out calculation and more info.

If you have access to additional information, please contact me through the archive mail.

Thank you for your time,
