The air tampers make a terrible racket, but sure make tamping easier! It made me wonder, did any of the two footers have this luxury? The new Alna Center Depot is immediately behind me, as is another 5 or 600 feet of track, and even more cleared grade, ready for more track.

If you've never been to the Wiscasset, Waterville and Farmington to see the terrific work being done here, you don't know what you are missing!
