Mechanic Falls Time Table June 30th 1919

.... The Trolley. This is something like 18 rail connections each weak day. Gee you could sure get around that town in fine style a 100 years ago ! I wounder who left first, the Trolly or the MEC? Today only the old GT line aka the St. Lawrence & Atlantic, passes thru town. We seldom consider the volume of traffic back then. MEC had around about 10 passenger trains in each direction between Bangor & Portland, and that doesn't count the passenger locals & freight!
I wounder if you spent a day at Danville Jct. today how many trains you'd catch. Offhand, does anyone know what the expected level of traffic pm the backroad is today? /DL
