Earlier days for an RS3m

Cape Cod Railroad RS3m (later Cape Cod Central 1201) shares the track next to the engine house in Hyannis with B&M steamer 1455 on a November afternoon in 1997. The re-engined Alco would spend the next couple of years working in Connecticut before returning to the Cape in 2001. The engine has been unofficially dubbed "Lulubelle", and formerly worked for Amtrak and Penn Central, having started her career on the NYC.

Photographed by Mike Chapman, November, 1997.
Added to the photo archive by Michael Chapman, August 2, 2005.
