OCNRR #84 and Train in Newport

This is the OCNRR's [now dedicated to Bob Lavalee] GE 45T #84 and train of two wooden coaches (the oldest operating in the U.S.!) at the depot in Newport, Rhode Island. Oh, and it is raining, so those are the wonderful streaks in the photo. And coincidentally, if you were wondering, the OC&N RR runs the 84 backwards, just because that is how it was put on the tracks and there is no outside connection from the NSL (Newport Secondary Line) to any [other railroad nor] wye facility. That is why the cab door is open; to aid the engineer's vision.
