Calvin Kingman, P&O RR

P&O Railroad Trainman Calvin Kingman, 25, had been up all night and all day, he was riding on a flat car on his westbound Freight and sat up on the brake wheel to rest himself. He fell asleep and fell backwards in between the cars of his train and was killed on this spot. He is buried in Bartlett,NH. This took place just 4 years from the Maine Central Railroad taking lease of the RR line.This is in Crawford Notch just shy of M.P. 83
