C-Liners

Builder's photo of two of 10 Fairbanks-Morse CPA24-5 2,400 hp C-Liners purchased by the New Haven. Numbered 790-799, the 790 and 791 were the ex Demo units F-M 4801 and 4802. As the New Haven was the only Railroad to own EMD FL-9's ORIGIONALLY, that made the NH the ONLY railroad to own and operate both of the only 5 axle locomotives built. (Date is approximate)

Unknown photographer April, 1951.
Added to the photo archive by Carl Weber Jr., October 17, 2005.
