Transloading baled woodpulp at East Deering

This is the new transloading operation at East Deering. Woodpulp made at Fraser Papers in Berlin is brought down in cuts of 7 SLR boxcars at a time to the former St. Lawrence Cement siding where it is transloaded into trucks by Sprague (formerly Merrills) of South Portland. (sorry for washed out whites, caused by extreme light/dark contrast)

Photographed by A.R. Seamans, January 10, 2006.
Added to the photo archive by Alan Seamans, January 10, 2006.
Railroad: St. Lawrence & Atlantic.
