This photo was taken, looking North, towards 218, and as you can tell the railroad grade starts to go down hill. It is all down hill from Top of the Mountain to Trout Brook. The grade down to Trout Brook, is about a two or three percent grade for about a half mile or so. The old railroad grade went straight, and down the mountain, towards Trout Brook.
