Tracks under the snow?

From inside the former Piney Ridge park, one can look down at the Hartford and Springfield Street Railway Company's Rockville Branch line. The tracks are long gone. They have been gone for many years. This is 2006 and the line was last used in 1926. The only thing that one would find under the snow is beach sand. Yes, beach sand. And the closest beach is many miles away. Beach sand was brought in for the park when it opened. The right of way is now owned by the Connecticut Trolley Museum which hopes to redevelop the area by the end of the year.
