Marblehead St., North Andover, MA

Looking eastbound from Marblehead St. The former station is off in the distance at the Sutton St. crossing. There are still some rails heading up the incline off to the right on what was the former Essex Railroad branch. Before abandonment in the early 1970's it was known as the Machine Shop Branch as its only customer at that time was the former Davis & Furber Machine Co. line. The rails became more visible after brush fire allegedly caused by a passing freight train. **Thank you to Mr. Zecchini for providing me with some history of the branch.**
