Two of the three coaches on my Shore Line East train were ex-VRE cars. This is the middle car on the train, the one I sat in. They are similar to the Bombardier coaches (right down to the seat colors of red and blue), but more open. The middle and end seats of these cars however have tables. I sat in the 2-2 middle seat. Not a bad ride, except the windows were quite opaque.
