VTR Caboose #3

Built for the Rutland Railroad June 1924 as #95, renumbered to #45 on 11/21/24, Sold to the Vermont Railway in 1964 and renumbered VTR #3 in March 1965 and became the regular caboose of Conductor Paul P. Mangan on the Burlington/Rutland Local. When it was retired it was sold to Paul and he moved it to a siding in Leicester Jct, Vermont just off the Rutland/Burlington Mainline. After Paul's passing, the Mangan Family donated the caboose to the Rutland Railway Association who has just moved it on September 17th via the rails on the Vermont Railway to the Scale Track in Center Rutland, Vermont where they plan to restore it.
