Long time volunteer

This photo shows a longtime OCNRR volunteer, Jack Doyle, at the controls of the recently rebuilt OCNRR engine '84' as it heads South to Newport.

In the background is the Narragansett Bay and Midway Pier. The pier was used for offloading fuel that would be pumped up the hill to the Navy Tank Farms. There is current talk of developing it into a fishing pier.

Jack, an avid railfan, is also one of the lead engineers on the Newport Dinner Train.
