RDCs leaving Newport

The Islander Shuttle train is shown leaving downtown Newport as it passes the Walnut Street bridge abutment.

This bridge was originally the trolley bridge that connected the center of Newport to the Naval Training Station. It was removed with the construction of Americas Cup Avenue in the late 1960s.

Seen on the left is a local volunteer who enjoys cleaning up the trash that others leave on the tracks.

These 'Budd' cars were formerly on the Wilton Scenic Railway.
