Fall 2007 trackwork weekend: first passenger train to MP 7

By the end of Saturday, enough track had been laid to permit the first passenger train to run as far as milepost 7 in 74 years. Locomotive #10 is passing the milepost with open excursion car #103 and coach #3 in tow.

Milepost 7 now places the head of steel slightly closer to Head Tide station than to Sheepscot. The distance to Sheepscot is about 2.2 miles. The distance to Head Tide, about 2.1 miles.
