Central New England Railway - Rhinecliff Branch 1975

Central New England - Rhinecliff Branch 1975. This trestle is west of Silvernails, NY and east of Elizaville, NY. The rails were torn up in 1938, very little evidence of this section of RR remains today. At some places, there are still railroad ties at the top of a hill near where a trestle used to be. This view is looking west towards Rhinecliff, NY. The trespassing sign has changed since.

Photographed by David Benkart, Jr., 1975.
