Connecticut Company at Hartford, CT

Just after Thanksgiving of 1938 on Tuesday. Nov 29th, Conn. Co Service Car 0274 is seen passing a church in Hartford, CT. Notice the sweeper brushes underneath the car. This was typical of trolley companies who were required to perform some, or all snow removal during the winter months on public streets. Several examples of Connecticut Company service cars can be seen at the museum in East Windsor, CT.

These photos may only be memories, but the Connecticut Trolley Museum is a reality! Come board a historic streetcar for a ride down memory lane to a bygone nostalgic era!

This is from the historical collection of the Connecticut Trolley Museum. Attempts are currently being made for more photos like this to be publicly viewable.
