Norfolk Southern GP38-2 number 5345 has just come off the Connecticut River Line as ED2 and is now pulling a long cut of cars (probably from SEED) off the Greenfield Runner and into East Deerfield Yard at 5:21 pm on Saturday, 06/14/2008. The loud, throaty sound emitted by the classic EMD as it drags 50 plus cars is music to the ears! NS and lease units are now powering many of Guilford’s trains and the railroad is clearly in transition. For better or worse, an era is coming to a close.
