Flatcar's TombMy dad and I discovered these planks beneath a washed out section of the ROW of the WN&P by Deering Pond near Springvale. In 1871, when the line was being built, a flatcar loaded with rails sank into the muddy ground. With no way to remove it, it was simply built over. We think that's what these planks are.
