#1187

#1187 is a 0-4-0 Camelback built in 3/1903. This locomotive was built for the Philadelphia & Reading Railway by the Baldwin Locomotive Works. The Strasburg RR acquired it in 1962 and it last operated in 1967. It was removed from service due to it's low pulling power and was put on display at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania. Currently the #1187 is back across the street at the Strasburg Railroad and is undergoing a full restoration for future operation.

Photographed by Neil Rousseau, July, 1998.
