This is Greenfield & Turners Falls Street Railway Company #15 in Greenfield, MA. This is a single pole, single truck, double ended open car with 9 benches and hand brakes. If you look closely, you can see that the pole is being reversed, the trolley must be at the end of the line.

The car looks brand new, and based on the size of the crowd watching the car being reversed and the year the photo was taken, I wonder if this is the opening of the trolley line?

The caption under the photo says "Trolley car, on Deerfield Street, early 1890's, Greenfield, MA." I found the photo in an old calendar. The photographer was not listed.

If anybody has any other info about this photo, please let me know and I will post the info.
