P42 / Self Portrait

Myself standing beside a monstrous P42DC. Until an hour or so prior to this photo, I had never seen a P42DC. I met my first at New Haven, Connecticut as the lead AEM7 was replaced by one front and one trailing P42.

Note:
Although I'm wearing a Union Pacific t-shirt, I am no longer a fan of the Union Pacific. Their elimination of Southern Pacific painted engines has forced me to completely move away from liking them at all. BUT -- I must say, from the first day I was a railfan... my love has been 100% devoted to Big Blue -- CONRAIL! Conrail Quality lives on!

Railroad: Amtrak.
