Shortly after WAED cleared the eastbound started the rest of his trip east. On the scanner the engineer reported of a sticking brake shoe on the last car. Dispatch told him that he could make it to Wells and said he would be ok. As the last car went by, there was a thin cloud of brake shoe smoke coming form the car.
