The renovated Boston & Maine Freight House and Rail Diesel Car at Bedford, Massachusetts, honor the history of the railroad that served this locality for over a century.

The final passenger train to Bedford ran on January 10, 1977. In 1992, the Minuteman Bikeway was built upon the roadbed of the "railbanked" B&M/MBTA Lexington Branch between West Cambridge and Bedford.
