In the early 1950's, 1551 was assigned to a daily freight that ran between Plymouth NH and White River Junction VT via Woodsville and Wells River.The most frequent cargo was the chlorine tank car for the Lincoln NH paper mill. As a 12yr old railfan, I spent many hours in the cab, both in the Plymouth yard and on the Pemigewasset Valley branch.
